960 Days

960 days is about life transformation on a schedule.

Most people can agree that there are certain things in their life that they wish that they could change. But we often feel like we just don't have the ability. Case in point: I could probably isolate three specific areas where you feel like your life is most often spinning out of control.
First stop, your finances.

Second stop your Physical fitness level.

Third stop, you sometimes feel distant from God.

How did I do?

I thought so. The financial, Physical and Spiritual often form the core of our lives.

Financial

America is a nation full of debtors. As I write this the US Government is desperately springing into action in an attempt to rescue floundering financial markets due in large part to lenders who were willing to make loans to bad prospects in the bid to make a fast buck. While that summary is brief it demonstrates how a culture of debt is eating away at Americans.

Physical

In other news, obesity is on the rise and consistent with the American way of late, nobody wants to take responsibility because they're fat - they want to blame genetics. I do not doubt in any way that some people are genetically predisposed to faster or slower metabolisms, I belong firmly in the former camp having been blessed with genes that burn food as fast as I can eat it. Guess what? That doesn't give me the right to feast on Twinkies. God has given me a body that he expects me to take care of. In addition to eating right it also means exercise. I'm not talking about running Marathons or bench pressing 300 pounds (unless that's a rational goal for you). I'm talking about getting into shape. You don't have to give the governator a run for his money, you just have to improve your health.

Spiritual

Finally it doesn't take a genius to see that America is spiritually bankrupting itself. I'm not going to preach at you, I'm going to encourage you to take small steps toward lining up your life according to the word of God.

That is why you are here and that is why I am here. 960 days aims to help you set a schedule on getting out of debt, getting into shape and drawing close to God. It's these three areas, the Financial, Physical and Spiritual which will form the core of getting your life where you want it to be in 960 days.

This first move is for you procrastinators. We start on December 31, 2008. Why? Because it gives you a chance to catch up. Because it gives you a chance to think about the kind of goals you want to set. And because it gives you time to think about what you want your life to be like in 960 days.
