Day 6: Push Yourself

It's Monday. If ever there was a tough day to get started it is Monday.
Buck the trend. There's a full week in front of you, and there's no limit to what you can accomplish if you set your mind to it. So go ahead, make a plan for the day. Remember that list I had you build? Pull it out today and look at the next two items on it. It may be more than you can handle in a day or maybe not. But why not take the challenge as a personal one. Do everything you can today to push beyond your limits.

Today I want to introduce you to a website you may or may not have heard about. It's title is frightening but don't let it frighten you. The name of the web site is 100 Pushups.
This is from the front page: “the hundred push ups training program Perfect Push Up If you're serious about increasing your strength, follow this six week training program and you'll soon be on your way to completing 100 consecutive push ups! Think there's no way you could do this? I think you can! All you need is a good plan, plenty of discipline and about 30 minutes a week to achieve this goal! No doubt some of you can already do 50 consecutive push ups, but let's face it, you're in a big minority. Most of you reading this won't even be able to manage 20 pushups. Actually, I'm sure many of you can't even do 10. However, it really doesn't matter which group you fall into. If you follow the progressive push ups training program, I'm positive you'll soon be able to do 100 push ups! --one hundred push ups
I started the 100 pushups program in August of 2008 and today I'm thrilled to report that I CAN DO IT! I'm convinced that you can do it too. Jump on board with a simple test, look at the site and take the challenge.
As of 1/12/09 I had to restart the program. But I'm NOT going to give up.
